Plans for 2021 are developing well, but remain obviously dependent on the scheduled relaxation of restrictions.
I managed to pressure wash Spellbinder’s hull and change her anodes at the end of March, and in early April we will re-fit her refurbished watermaker and a new stack pack. Her life raft is also due a service. I will sail her locally through April and early May.
I plan to head up to Scotland around 20th May with a view to spending the summer half term in the Small Isles (28 May – 6 June). I will stay north, hoping to get to Faroe, Shetland and Orkney before coming back via the Caledonian Canal for the Wild Atlantic Way in S and SW Ireland 11-17 July. Thereafter, and if we can go abroad, southern Brittany is a possibility for August, and the Spanish rias beckon in September.
