Latest news and next trips

I have spent the first couple of months of the season sea-trialling Spellbinder and identifying remaining issues. We had her first offshore sailing this year, heading to Cherbourg and St Vaast over a memorable and eventful week in fine weather which offered a variety of conditions. I also sat a Long Range Radio Certificate exam – and passed! We have now had the final sea trial and Spellbinder will be lifted in mid June for 2 weeks for some final work.  Departure is currently set for mid July.

The jobs list on Spellbinder gets smaller by the day and the Atlantic circuit planning is going well.  I plan to head for Madeira in July and then in October sail on to the Canaries and Cape Verde before crossing the Atlantic in late November / early December.  I then plan to cruise the Windwards, Leewards and British / US Virgin Islands before returning to UK via Bermuda and the Azores in Spring 2019.  See my latest blog for more details.  Remaining berths available on the various legs can be found at the link below:

Don’t hesitate to let me know if you can make any of the legs – the early bird gets the worm, and I operate on a first-come, first served basis…
