Spellbinder left Gosport on May 24th last year, heading down to Land’s End and up the Irish Sea to Scotland. From Oban she cruised the Small Isles, then sailed to the Outer Hebrides, around Cape Wrath and Orkney. After transiting the Caledonian Canal from Inverness to Fort William she visited Mull, Iona, Staffa, Treshnish and Tiree. After a brief stop in Islay she headed for Belfast and then Portpatrick and Strangford Lough. She then cruised the Clyde, and heading south visited the Isle of Man, the Welsh Coast, Lundy and Padstow.
She returned to Gosport in September, having sailed 2,755 nautical miles in 2021. Plans for 2022 are developing: the Netherlands in May, Northern Brittany in June, and Southern Brittany later in the summer, with a possible plan to cruise the Spanish Rias in September and overwinter in Portugal.
