Plans for 2021 are developing well, but remain obviously dependent on the scheduled relaxation of restrictions.
Very tentatively, I plan to pressure wash her as usual when the tides allow in mid April, then sail locally into early May.
I then plan to head up to Scotland around 20th May with a view to spending the summer half term in the Small Isles (28 May – 6 June). I will stay north, hoping to get to Faroe, Shetland and Orkney before coming back via the Caledonian Canal for the Wild Atlantic Way in S and SW Ireland 11-17 July. Thereafter, and if we can go abroad, S Brittany looks like a good idea, with the Spanish rias in September.
I have a few maintenance jobs to do before then: service the engine and life raft, and have a new stack pack made. Otherwise Spellbinder seems fine, although I can’t get to her at present.
